As new elected president of the International Black Sea Club (IBSC), I express you my sincere greetings. IBSC is an international non-governmental organization that has an observer status with the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, which are granted only to organizations that have world recognition. IBSC is a member of the International Union of Local Authorities and the European Council for Small Business.
The Club was founded on December 5, 1992, on the 1st Assembly in Odessa, Ukraine, with the purpose of strengthening and developing business cooperation between the Black Sea Region port cities.

Today IBSC unites 24 cities from nine countries of the Black Sea and Mediterranean basin. IBSC organizes and runs necessary works for social, economical, cultural, technological and sportive activities between member cities.
As the Mayor of Trabzon city, who has been elected as IBSC President for the period of 2005-2008, I will run the presidency together with you and your proposals. The Club's successful activities that have been done until today will continue after now.
